AIR LIVE PROGRAMME ‘HELLO CHANDIGARH’

            All  India Radio has been serving the masses of this great country for years together. Still a major portion of India, particularly rural India wakes up with Akashvani signature tune. AIR is expanding its coverage area & its listening is increasing  day-by-day & there is not any kind of threat from private Radio stations. There is still high credibility of AIR as a institution & there is a big chance to improve. More interactive kind of programming is required so that listeners  can be connected.

            All India Radio, Chandigarh is functioning from 27^th December 1964. The programme are being aired from frequency 107.2 Mhz. For improvement of programme content, the station is experimenting new kinds of interactive programmes. Accordingly, this station making many changes & are producing  programmes like ‘AIR helpline, FM Life line (Health Show), Baaton-baaton  mein, Sanjivini, Pop time, Sunehe mitran de (messages from friends) & Hello beautiful  Chandigarh etc. Allmost, the all programmes are getting popularity. But, the programme ‘Hello beautiful Chandigarh’ changed as live programme with minor changes in its titled as ‘Hello Chandigarh’ from 08^th June 2014 due to its popularity. This is theme based programme & is  being aired daily at 1005 hours. Before the live broadcast of this programme, two-three topics of current affairs are given to the listeners to suggest their valuable views. Any listeners may call on phone nos. 0172-2660615, 617 & 619 between 1005 hrs & 1100 hrs & may suggest the positive views to improve the living standard of our people.  On its popularity & successful completion of one year of this programme, Akashvani  parivar  celebrated its first anniversary in the office complex on 08^th June 2015 with their own financial contribution under the Headship of Smt. Poonam Amrit Singh, Programme Executive. Many members gave their valuable suggestions to make  the programmes more effective. During this small function Sh. S.S. Rathore, Sh. Ashwani Kumar, Smt. Baljit Kaur, Smt. Meenakshi Kaalia, Ms. Ritu Raj Kaur Sandhu, Smt. Neena Behl, Sh. Jaswinder Singh Kainaur, Sh. Moninder Singh, Sh. Satyanarayan Singh, Sh. Rajesh Thakur, Smt. Bably Bhatt, Ms. Vineet Kaur, Smt. Banno Pandita, Sh. Ramesh Kapoor, Smt. Kulveer kapoor, Sh.Anil Punj, Sh. Sarvpriya Nirmohi, Smt. Santosh Kumari, Sh. Sarwan Singh, Sh. Vinay Kumar, Sh. Amarjit Narang, Sh. Om Parkash,  Sh. Jagpal Singh & others were present.
