ELECTION OF ADMINISTRATIVE WING IN AIR & DOORDARSHAN ON 17^TH AUGUST 2015

           The election of Prasar Bharati’s  Administrative wings are going to be held on 17^th August 2015 (Monday). ‘Akashvani & Doordarshan Administrative Staff Association (ADASA) is combined association of AIR & Doordarshan which is recognised & registered body. Sh. S.S. Chouhan, senior Administrative Officer, New Delhi has been appointed as Returning Officer to conduct the election in the whole country. There are two types of councils in this association. One is National Council (Head Quarter, Delhi) & 15 Zonal Councils (Zonal Stations) as the all AIR station & Doordarshan kendras have been divided into the zones. Sh. G.K, Charaya & Sh. Sangam Thakur are candidates for the post President, Sh. R.S.Chouhan & Sh. D.D. Roy are contesting for the post of General Secretary for National Council.  

             Its North zone area is comprises of five states viz. Punjab, Haryana, J & K, Chandigarh, & Himachal Pradesh. Sh. Satish Sharma (Jalandhar) & Surinder Kumar Sharma (Jalandhar) are contesting for Chairman, Sh. Dinesh Kumar (Jalandhar) & Sh. S.K. Bhan (Jammu) are contesting for Vice Chairman while my self Sh. Jaswinder Singh ‘Kainaur’ (Chandigarh), Sh. Dalip Kumar Malla (Jammu) & Sh. Gaje Singh (Rohtak) are contesting for the post of Joint Secretary of the North zone (Punjab). The votes will be cast through ballot papers on 17^th August 2015 at the respective station/kendras. The process of election work is going very peacefully. The counting of votes will be at Delhi on 29^th August 2015 & the result will also be declared on the same day.
