An Inspiration story
J.S. Kainaur
‘Chandigarh’
Inspiration story of a Tea seller Sh.
Vijayan
who visited 17 countries alongwith his
wife
Here, I have got an opportunity to presents a story
of a legend man who has discovered this magical dimension of his life. He is simply
tea-seller who travels the 17 countries of the world with his wife. The power of his dreams,
the strength of his will and passion in his single-minded pursuits have let his
spirit spread it is invisible wings and soar into the air, inspite of his
social and economic conditions. After reading about him, it has comes to know
that the name of this inspiration story is Sh.Vijayan & his wife name is
Mrs. Mohana. They belongs to Ernakulam in Kerala state. His wife help him at the shop by
preparing eatables as they also
sells the small food items like idli,
upma & curry etc., besides the tea. He tells about his shop that anyone may satisfy for
his hunger by spending 10 to 25 rupees there.
He provides 06 idly for 20 rupees, an upma, curry or tea for Rs.25/- only. Both are fully satisfied
with their work & leading a joy ful life. About the support of his wife, he
says that in fact she is source of his strength. He don’t know how to explain
it, as she provides him with all the energy which he needs. As Swami Vivekanand
said, “you can see & hear with your eyes and ears, but you cannot
experience any thing with the presence of mind”.
Like the every human, they have also some aims in
the life. Out of them, an aim is to go
to picnic to get the experience &
knowledge by visiting the different places in India & as well as foreign countries. According
to him he visited many places alone. But, together they went to Madras,
Kanyakumari, Bangalore, Delhi, Haridwar, Egypt, Jordan, London, Paris,
Switzerland, Venice, Singapore & Malaysia etc. It seems that they looks
around 55 to 60 years old. As we are aware that almost every human being are
naughty during their childhood. Sh. Vijayan
was also a naughty boy during his childhood as he use to steal food grains from his own house
and sell them in the market to meet the expenses of visiting new places.
There are many thoughts of the prominent personalities.
Mr. Ray Bradury (an writer) said, “First you jump off the cliff and you build
your wings on the way down” . Like that, this story also teaches us to make strong will
power and immense love to achieve their desires. He has good income from the
tea shop. As soon as he has enough money, he approaches banks for a loan, travels
to a new country, and repays the loan over two or three years. It is his hobby
as he want to see the world. That is his desire, his only desire! He praised
the Supreme Power, “God has blessed me with more than what I deserve, dream or wished for”. And thus, with the belief that
all of us have only one lifetime to do everything, he has spent close to Rs.
10-15 lakhs on his journeys. But for him, that money is nothing when compared
to the places he has seen and the knowledge he has gained. And when people call
him crazy, he simply says – “Yes, I am crazy. Everyone has their own will, I got self satisfaction and that is why I do
so.
We are achieving our targets with the grace of
‘GOD’. He believes in ‘GOD’. He thinks
that a time will come when his journey ends as a time granted by the Almighty.
All of this will go on, he strongly believe in it. During their journey, they
got many experiences of disappointments & delights. He has shared an
experience that all the people with whom they travelled so far are
millionaires. All of them, when they exchange 100 or 500 dollars notes, he
exchanged only 5 or 10 dollars note.
Someone asked him with funny way
that he is wasting the money by visiting here & there without any gain. If
he had invested that money on a land or property, it would have been beneficial
for his future. In the reply, Vijayan explained that if money is his only
concern then he would not be able to do any thing, the knowledge and
experiences he gains would have been missed. Amongst thousands of men, hardly
one strives for perfection and amongst those who have achieved perfection,
hardly one knows me in truth. These are his feelings that he cherish.
Mr.Vijayan believes
that their lives are full of journeys, no matter where we are. He want to travel again more as he has desire
& will power. Thus, he works every day with the only aim of travelling to a
new country, his next destination.

Gujarat Mechanic Sh. Dashrath Patel Invents AC Sofa that Brings Temperature Down in Just 1 Minute
This
incredible innovation keeps you cool even in the hot outdoors and uses less
power than regular air conditioners. Meet Dashrath Patel, the man behind the
unique AC sofa. Dashrath Patel is a humble mechanic from Gujarat. He repairs
air conditioners and electrical equipment for a living. But Dashrath is not
destined to be just another mechanic. He has invented the AC sofa, which brings
temperatures down by 50 percent in 1 minute and is ideal for outdoor events. The 45-year-old mechanic, who has
studied only till Class 10, did a diploma course to understand the basics of
mechanical engineering and make a career as a repair person. But the lack of a
professional degree did not stop him from becoming an innovator. The idea for
the AC sofa came to Dashrath when he attended a family function in Gandhinagar,
Gujarat, in 2007. “It was an extremely hot summer afternoon. All the guests
were sweating and looking for a cool place nearby. The function was outdoors so
there was no air conditioning available. That is when I thought: ‘What if the
sofas where people sit could act as ACs?’” recalls Dashrath. He started working
on the idea and initially planned on installing the air conditioner inside the
sofa. But once the prototype was ready, he became concerned about the huge
weight of the sofa — it weighed a hefty 175 kgs. But Dashrath was determined to
work more on his idea and come up with a feasible and usable design. He had
heard of the ‘Design Clinic Scheme’ at the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium
Enterprises (MSME), so he approached them. MSME works in collaboration with the
National Institute of Design (NID). It asked Ankit Vyas, an NID alumnus, to
support Dashrath in modifying his design. With Ankit’s help, Dashrath was able
to change the material and design and bring down the weight of the sofa to just
35 kgs. The first prototype had been made entirely of wood — even the hosepipe
was made of wood, which made the design heavy. In the new design, all the wood
parts were replaced with fibre and PVC was used for the pipe. The sofa works
like a split AC. It has a unit inside the sofa linked by a pipe to an outer
unit.
The outer
unit is placed 10-15 ft away from the sofa to make the latter hassle-free and
light. A blower is attached to the sofa, which takes the hot air from the
surroundings and converts it into cool air instantly. The airflow comes from
the hand-rest part of the sofa and one can even control the temperature with a
remote control. The sofa has direct injected cooling technology, which enables
fast cooling of the sofa. Direct Injection technology enables easier cold
starting and better adjustments to changes in temperature. The design runs on
250 watt electricity with a variation of 10 % in power. The sofa not only
decreases the temperature, it also controls the humidity and fan speed. The
regular tower ACs that are in use today are costly and consume more power.
Dashrath’s sofa consumes 10 percent less power than a regular tower AC. Dashrath had spent Rs. 80,000 by the
time the final design was finished. Some of the money came from his own pocket
and the rest was given by the government. Dashrath plans to sell the product in
the market for Rs 1.25 lakhs.
The sofa is mainly designed for outdoor events and
gatherings but works indoors too. Since the price is quite high for the average
family to afford, the focus market is event companies and hotels.

An exemplary personality who did 28 jobs in 28 weeks in 28 States of India
Jaswinder Singh Kainaur
An
exemplary personality who did 28 jobs in 28 weeks in 28 States of India
Meet Jubanashwa Mishra from Bhubaneswar,
Odisha, who took 28 jobs in 28 weeks and covered 28 states of India. Determined
to not do a dull regular job after completing his engineering, Mishra took a
path rarely traveled
While most of us seek stability and a regular
paycheck, Jubanashwa Mishra took on an unplanned journey to 28 states in
India, doing arbitrary and odd jobs every week.
He has worked as a photographer, a tattoo
artist, a river rafting guide, a film executive, a tea factory worker, a waste
warrior, and much more. While every week most of us go to the same office to do
the same job, this man had no idea where he would be working the next week. His
first was a photographer. Here is portrait of that first job.
Mr. J. Mishra says:
“I did my
engineering like many people in India but I knew I never wanted to do a job. I
got the idea of job-hopping when I heard of a guy who did something similar —
doing 52 jobs in 52 weeks. I thought I’d use the same idea too and explore the
28 states in India.”
Inspired by the work of
Canadian Sean Aiken who first introduced the concept of one week one job, Mishra decided to follow the same
path.
Once Mishra had made up his
mind, there was no looking back. He didn’t even tell his parents about his
adventure; they got to know about what he was doing through a local news
article. Confused and worried in the beginning, the family finally accepted the
idea that Mishra was not going to take up a “settled” job.
How he went about his dream plan
Throughout his journey, Mishra was sure of
one thing— he wanted to take up jobs that would help him understand the culture
and traditions of the state he was going to. And so it came about that he took
up a job as a waste warrior and mountain cleaner in Himachal Pradesh, a tea
factory worker in Assam, a movie marketing executive in Maharashtra, a mud
artisan in West Bengal, a rafting trainee in Jammu & Kashmir, and so on.
Starting with his journey
as a photographer in Haryana in May 2013, Mishra’s journey has been full of
unforgettable experiences.
“I started
as a photographer in Haryana because those guys were the first ones to say yes
to my proposal,” laughs Mishra. But as he moved forward in his journey
and explored other states, people started approaching him with various job
offers. Some he did as a volunteer for free and for others he was paid a
substantial amount.
From being a news channel TRP analyst in Odisha
to emotional consultant in Karnataka, and even a tattoo artist in Goa,
Mishra tried his hand at many jobs. But the one he found the most challenging
was working as a playschool teacher.
“In one week I learnt enough to make a small tattoo on a
client. But it was being a playschool teacher in Andhra Pradesh which was most
challenging — handling three to four year old kids is not easy,” he says.
Supported by funds he
collected through a crowdfunding platform, Mishra traveled approximately 25,000
km by train, bus, taxi, flight, tram, auto, bike, rickshaw, boat, raft, and
even his own two feet.
“I was living my dream of meeting new people and
connecting with them. I didn’t care about how difficult the journey was. In the
end all that mattered was the experience I was gaining. There is so much to
learn and explore in our country. We should travel far and see amazing places,
cultures and people,” says Mishra.
Despite the fact that Mishra is highly
educated (being an engineer and then a Post Graduate from MICA,
Ahmedabad), Mishra did not restrict his job profiles to his capabilities.
Rather, he pushed himself and took up the most unexpected jobs.
While in Uttar Pradesh he
was a cremation assistant, in Chennai he was a snack seller on the beach. One
week he was running a contraceptive campaign in rural Bihar, and in another he
was working as a farmer in Uttarakhand.
The journey was a challenge of course. He was
constantly on the road, adjusting to different climatic conditions and
circumstances…his health finally took a toll and he was very ill for several
days. “I thought I was going to die. I was in bed for two weeks. But that was
the only break I took and I was back on my journey,” he says.
Mishra is now back
to his home in Bhubaneshwar and documenting his experiences in a book that
tells of his incredible journey.
“I
have been recently rejected by a publisher. But I am sure I will find one at
the right time,” he says.
Not willing to join the corporate sector,
Mishra has started a preschool called Paper Boat in Bhubaneswar. “It is a futuristic playschool where children
do not simply learn, they experience education through our theme-based learning
approach,” he says.
“Don’t be afraid to dream and then live
your dreams. People will tell you that it is difficult, but don’t hesitate.
Always listen to your heart,” is his advice to others out there who hope
to live their passion some day.
This is an amazing
story in his real life. He is very rare personality with a knowledge of multiple jobs. He may be role
model, if any wishes to follow him.
